Welcome to Eastern Hills Senior High School

Eastern Hills Senior High School is located at Mount Helena in the Darling Ranges east of Perth. The school serves an area stretching from the urban foothills suburbs to the rural communities east and north of Mount Helena. Primary schools within this intake area include Chidlow, Sawyer’s Valley, Wooroloo, Parkerville, Mount Helena, Glen Forrest, Mundaring, Darlington, Wundowie and Gidgegannup. Our students are provided with a unique opportunity to learn in an environment which is enriched by its diversity.

At Eastern Hills we are committed to promoting values the we believe are essential to enable students to realise their potential for learning and their development as valued members of society.

Four Core values guide our school community:

Learning: it is our aim to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn; that they are instructed, encouraged, guided and nurtured by teachers who value learning and are skilled in imparting their knowledge for the benefit of all students.

Excellence: We believe that the pursuit of excellence is an essential goal and integral to the education program delivered at Eastern Hills Senior High School. As educators we strive to achieve the highest standards as an example to our students and a motivation to them to set for themselves the highest possible goals.

Equity: We recognise and respect the individuality of every student at Eastern Hills Senior High School. It is our aim that nothing becomes an impediment to a student’s learning and that they are afforded every respect in the pursuit of positive goals.

Care: This is a school in which trust and mutual respect underpin our aim to foster positive learning experiences. We are mindful of our role in the partnership with parents, carers and the wider community in each child’s education. We emphasise that with rights come responsibilities, and students must develop an understanding of both.
