As part of the Caring for Children course the students have been learning about what it means to be an effective babysitter. The students were required to produce an item that could be used when babysitting a young child. To make this task more meaningful we have a collaboration with our local primary schools and this term the students were involved in making a soft toy for the Kindy students at Gidgegannup Primary School. The students use a 2D Self-Portrait drawing produced by the young children and turn it into a 3D soft doll. Yesterday the student's enthusiasm in taking and presenting their creations was a delight.
Their enjoyment in not only presenting the dolls to the smiling children but their infectious nature in wanting to play was a highlight of the morning. Congratulations to the Year 9 students on an enjoyable morning.
