School Update on COVID-19 30/3/2020

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

This newsletter is an update on the current situation with Corona (Covid 19) Virus measures. The school is following Education Department and Health Department advice on managing the Covid 19 situation.

Copies of previous newsletters which were issued by email are available on the School’s website. Further updates will be provided as necessary by email and/or text then posted to the website and FaceBook.

This week the school has begun working implementing the change of delivery of education which will occur over the next week.

Connect accounts have been updated and checked. The Department has increased the capacity of Connect to improve service delivery. A parent logon Step-by Step guide was provided recently. I have included this again with this Newsletter.

Curriculum content is being updated in Connect. A conferencing system has been chosen and staff are being trained this week to use this software. This has been successfully trialled in several classes and was used by the School Board to meet last week. Office 365 is available to students. The instructions for access are contained in the Newsletter issued on 25/3/2020 which is available on the school website .

Our plan for teaching is similar to the School of the Air Model which provides a structured day for the students to work through in an organised way. Full details of how and when to begin this work will be issued this week.

If you have questions, please contact us using the school email
