Dear Parents and Caregivers, This newsletter is an update on the current situation with Corona (Covid 19) Virus measures. The school is following Education Department and Health Department advice on managing the Covid 19 situation. Copies of previous newsletters which were issued by email are available on the School’s website. Further updates will be provided as necessary by email and/or text then posted to the website and FaceBook. Today we have updated the school website to provide the latest news from the school about the current situation. We have been receiving regular updates via videoconferencing form the Director General. In today’s conference the arrangements for student and staff travel across regional boundaries under the current state of emergency were discussed. Eastern Hills Local Area boundaries includes students form both the Metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions. The provisions included in the state of emergency allow for students and staff to cross boundaries to attend school. The School Curriculum and Standards Authority is currently developing guidelines for curriculum assessment and delivery changes for 2020. It is particularly important the Year 11 & 12 students are aware of these changes. The intent of the authority is to ensure students in 2020 are not disadvantaged in their preparation for ATAR and WACE. The school will publish these to all students affected as soon as they are available. They will also be published on the SCSA website . If you have questions, please contact us using the school email Support and advice Further information is available at or the healthdirect helpline on 1800 020 080 for more information on the virus and its symptoms. I would like to thank you for your support and cooperation during this unprecedented situation. Regards John Dunning Principal
